Mission

BSCDC exists to amplify culturally rich communities by encouraging economic development, financial stability, and high-quality affordable housing through our 4-pillar approach: Revitalize, Rejuvenate, Reconnect, Reinvest.

Vision

To create a thriving, culturally grounded Bronzeville — a place where Black families, businesses, and culture flourish, and where history and progress walk hand in hand.

Our Four Pillars

  1. Revitalize
We transform neglected spaces into thriving community hubs. Projects like the TURN Center and the redevelopment of historic Bronzeville properties create opportunities for learning, entrepreneurship, and cultural expression.

  2. Rejuvenate
We strengthen local economies by working hand-in-hand with small business owners, providing workforce training, and connecting qualified workers to employment opportunities.

  3. Reconnect
We preserve the cultural heritage and collective identity of Bronzeville through storytelling, arts, and intergenerational engagement — ensuring that our history continues to inspire our future.

  4. Reinvest
We channel resources back into the community through affordable housing, property development, and programs that promote financial literacy and homeownership.
